Olayan Descon has an in-house computer Aided Engineering (CAE) & Drafting (CAD) facility, fully reinforced with Windows based Engineering & Drafting work Stations. Availability of latest engineering software’s, document / drawing reproduction equipment & high cadre of motivated professionals enables Olayan Descon to provide comprehensive design & engineering services.

Pressure & non-pressure equipment design as per ASME Section VII Div, I & II, BS-5500, TEMA, API 650/620, AISC etc. :

• Mechanical Design
• Detail Engineering
• Preparation of Shop Fabrication and As-built drawings
• Equipment Specification & Data Sheets
• Equipment sizing, pressure drop calculations, preparation of spreadsheets

Power piping as per ANSI B 31.1, Low & high pressure piping design for plant piping as per ANSI B 31.3, Corridor piping as per ANSI B 31.4 and gas transmission lines as per ANSI B 31.8

A network of fifteen (15) CAE/CAD workstations is used to run the following Engineering Software pertaining to various disciplines

• BJAC and STEMEC for Heat Exchangers
• Pro-Vessel, PV Elite and Code Calc. for Pressure Vessels & Columns
• Tri Tank 620 and E-Tank for Storage Tanks
• Cad-pipe and Caesar II for Piping
