Established in 1981, Olayan Descon is a joint venture between OLAYAN SAUDI HOLDING COMPANY and DESCON ENGINEERING LIMITED. OLAYAN SAUDI HOLDING COMPANY is a Saudi owned multinational group, which ranks as one of the largest privately held companies in the Kingdom.
There are over 50 companies in the group doing business in the Middle East, Europe, Australia and US. Olayan has business partnerships with market leaders like Bechtel, Coca Cola, Xerox, Baxter, Atlas Copco, Cummins, Kimberly-Clark, and Kraft General Foods. The business scope of the group entails profound involvement in Engineering, Manufacturing, Contracting, Trading, Distribution, Finance and Real Estate.
DESCON ENGINEERING started its operations from Pakistan in 1977, as a small company providing plant maintenance services. Today it ranks among the well- known engineering and constructing companies in Pakistan and the Gulf region, while General Contracting remains the mainstay of the company's business.
